Dry Creek 2008 Dry Chenin Blanc
June 1, 2010 No CommentsInspired by the Loire Valley, Dry Creek winery has been producing a dry style Chenin Blanc since 1972. The source of the grapes is the Clarksburg area of the Sacramento delta. Wilson Ranch is the ideal setting for Chenin due to its sandy soils and near perfect heating and cooling conditions.
If something just a bit out of the ordinary strikes your fancy, this might be a bottle for you. Grapefruit, lemon, melon, and pineapple aromas drift out of a freshly swirled glass. A sip conveys similar notes of grapefruit and melon, along with a touch of peach. Quite fresh on the palate, but the finish doesn’t have the same zest.
