The Russian River Valley is one of California’s most celebrated sources of world class Pinot Noir. One need not be a fan of Pinot to relish this wine. A gorgeous nose of strawberry, cherry, vanilla, with hints of smoky earth might keep you swirling your glass for a few minutes. Strawberry, cherry, and currants merge brilliantly on the palate, finishing with the soft kiss of sweet spice. At $60, it may not be an everyday wine but when quality is your goal, it won’t disappoint.
