Grape(s): Petite Sirah

Region: El Dorado County

Year: 2008

Special Designation: (none)

Price: 25-30

Review:

Aromas of bacon, pepper, earth, coffee, and dried cherry can be discovered on the nose. A sip offers flavors of black cherry and blackberry complicated by notes of pepper, minerals, and coffee. A wine with robust flavors, it still feels quite balanced. It’s a bottle to be enjoyed with food or, if you’re a fan of heartier wines, on its own.

Rating: 89

Character: gamy, peppery, rich mouthfeel, solid tannins

Farming Certification: (none)
